Chemo took place each Thursday for seven weeks. The actually treatment took a few hours, however the entire process took approximately 8 hours. I had chemo immediately after radiation on Thursdays. I was still feeling strong and could work on emails most of the day. Ronni was a true champion and rockstar throughout the journey. She was incredibly strong for our kids and me. Her most important responsibility was to shield our kids from me. I had 32 rounds of radiation over seven weeks. That process lasted approximately fifteen minutes. I had a mask custom fit, so that my head could be clipped down to a table during radiation, to insure that only the necessary area of my throat was targeted.
